Robin Goldman, MA, LP, ATSAF, has over 38 years of clinical experience in the prevention of sexual abuse and the assessment, treatment, and management of adults that have perpetrated sexual harm. She served on the ATSA board of directors from 2012-2018, serving as Chair of the Chapter Engagement and Development Committee and ATSA’s Strategic Planning Committee and as Co-Chair of the ATSA Conference in 2006, initiating the ATSA Public Policy Breakfast meeting. She also served on ATSA Conference Planning committees, ATSA’s Nominating Committee, Membership Committee, Fund Development Committee and ATSA’s Standards Protocol Committee. Robin helped to found Stop It Now! Minnesota and continued to serve on the Advisory and Steering Committees from 2000 to 2006. She served for 11 years on the MNATSA Board of Directors and Chaired two MNATSA annual conferences. She served on advisory committees for Minnesota’s Sexual Violence Prevention Unit, which among many initiatives, helped to establish public gatherings to engage families and community members in activities that support sexual abuse prevention efforts. She has published on treatment outcome and actuarial risk assessment and was a co-author of the Minnesota Sex Offender Screening Tool-Revised. She has authored/co-authored and provided numerous training packages on assessment, treatment and management of persons who have sexually offended and served as a trainer and consultant through the Center for Sex Offender Management (CSOM) and the National Institute of Corrections (NIC). Continuing her investment in the field through service on committees, consulting and training, she retired at the end of 2020 from a 38-year career with the Minnesota Department of Corrections, where she was the Director of a 270-bed integrated treatment program for incarcerated adult males. In this capacity she was responsible for developing, managing, directing and evaluating assessment, treatment and transitional services for persons presenting with mental health and substance abuse and those who’ve committed sex offenses.
